St John Ambulance provides first aid care at many public events in RCT. These range from carnivals to local football matches. Cadets are able to take part at these duties, and recieve awards for the amount of duties they do.

St John Ambulance has three age groups, Badgers which are aged 6-10, Cadets which are aged 10-18, and adults which are aged 18+. If you live in RCT and would like to become a member of St John Ambulance, you can view the divisions in your area and email the members in charge for more information.(See the Contacts page).

St John Ambulance also offers much more than first aid for its youth members, Cadets are now able to take many different courses from DIY to Fire Fighting and Prevention, once a number of these courses have been completed, cadets recieve The Grand Prior Award which can be placed in their Record of Achievement folders.

Cadets are also able to take part in first aid competitions at a county and national levels in order to test their skills as first aiders, and cadets win prizes for these events.
